Mobile Unit's production of MEASURE FOR MEASURE opens today, Friday, November 22. Directed by LA Williams, the free sit-down run of MEASURE FOR MEASURE follows a three-week tour to correctional facilities, homeless shelters, social service organizations, and community centers in all five boroughs. MEASURE FOR MEASURE will run in the Shiva Theater through Sunday, December 8.

Rose Theatre Kingston announced the full cast for its festive new version of the Hans Christian Andersen classic The Snow Queen written by Ciaran McConville, who returns to the theatre following last year's successful adaptation of Hansel & Gretel. McConville directs a cast of local young actors from Rose Youth Theatre led by a team of professional actors including Helena Blackman (The Snow Queen), Roger May (Dad/Father Christmas), Davina Moon (Freya), Parisa Shahmir (Gerda) and Jack Wolfe (Kai). The production opens on 13 December 2019, with previews from 6 December, and runs until 5 January 2020. 

MATILDA opened at The John W. Engeman Theater on Thursday, November 14. The production will run through Sunday, December 29, 2019.

Ingrid Michaelson announced she's writing music for a musical version of the Nicholas Sparks love story 'The Notebook.' She revealed that she is writing the music and playwright and 'This is Us' writer Bekah Brunstetter is writing the book for the musical.

Nuffield Southampton Theatres have announced the full company of CinderELLA The Musical. Michael Fentiman directs Valda Aviks (Ella), Emma Darlow (Melania) Tom Hier (Prince Charming and Policeman), Michael O'Connor (Harry), Jos Slovick (Daniel Deeni), Imelda Warren-Green (Ivanka) and Lydia White (Cinders). This new adaptation of the classic myth features two protagonists, the younger Cinders who feels old beyond her years and the older Ella who remembers when she danced as a girl at the Midnight Ballroom.
