NBC Sports' live coverage of the skate vert finals airs Saturday and taped coverage of the skate park finals airs Sunday, at 4-6 p.m. ET both days.

The announcement was made today by Steve Capus, President, NBC News. Lauren Kapp, most recently VP NBC News Communications, is being promoted to SVP, Marketing and Communications to oversee the new unit. In this newly created role, Kapp will be given the additional responsibilities of overseeing NBC News marketing, promotion, and brand strategy.

This support is part of RBC's Emerging Artists Project, which aims to fund programs that bridge the gap from academic excellence to professional careers in all aspects of the arts. This year, the NYOC celebrates its 50th anniversary. As part of each summer's tour, the NYOC appoints a composer-in-residence and commissions a work to be performed on the tour.
