eMusic, the internet's corner music store, and Sony Music Entertainment today announced that they have reached an agreement to sell songs from Sony Music's back catalog on the eMusic website. Beginning in the third quarter, eMusic will offer its U.S. subscribers classic recordings from all Sony Music labels, such as Arista, Columbia, Epic, Jive, LaFace, Legacy Recordings and RCA, including artists such as Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen, The Clash, Jeff Buckley, Johnny Cash, Leonard Cohen and OutKast. The agreement covers music that is two years old or more. Additional terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Eithne Walls, a former dancer with RIVERDANCE, was one of the passengers aboard the missing Air France flight. The plane, which disappeared Monday, contained 228 people and is thought to have crashed into the Atlantic Ocean.

The industry-only reading, produced by Jed Bernstein's Above the Title Entertainment, will take place June 16 at the Westside Theater.
The American Theatre Wing has announced its newest episode of its popular 'Working in the Theater' series, titled 'Fluidity & Change: Directors 2009.' This episode features Thomas Kail (In the Heights), Moisés Kaufman (33 Variations) Bartlett Sher (Joe Turner's Come and Gone), Leigh Silverman (Coraline), and Kate Whoriskey (Ruined). The program, moderated by Variety reporter Gordon Cox, will air on CUNY Television beginning Sunday, May 31, at 5:00 pm, with additional airings Friday, June 5 at 9:00 am, 2:00 pm and 7:30 pm, Saturday, June 6 at 11:00 am, and Sunday, June 7 at 5:00 pm.
Tony, Emmy, and Golden Globe Nominee Lainie Kazan has signed on to appear on stage in ReVision Theatre's Benefit Performance of Funny Girl starring Steven Brinberg as Barbra Streisand. This special one night only show will take place at the Paramount Theatre on the Boardwalk in Asbury Park on Saturday, July 11th, at 8 pm.

Tony Award Winner Alan Cumming has been cast as the villian in 'Escape To Donegal'. The film is written by Chris Minori and will be directed by Jonathan Blitstein. According to comingsoon.net, the sci-fi psychological thriller is reportedly a stylized film set in a dystopian future. Cumming will play a villian named 'Stuart', but no other information is available at this time. Filming will take place in Brooklyn this fall.

Honolulu Theatre for Youth and Hawaii Opera Theatre are seeking four adult singers and one child singer (with a flexible schedule that allows for daytime performances) for their production of Amahl and the Night Visitors. Musical preparation and staging will happen in October-November followed by three weeks of weekday and weekend performances to both school and public audiences.
Fox television series GLEE has broken into the Billboard Hot 100 chart with its recording of Journey's 'Don't Stop Believin'. The track is the chart's Hot Shot Debut at No. 4. The feat is even more impressive as nine tracks charted from American Idol winner Kris Allen and runner-up Adam Lambert, but those were all outsold by the GLEE recording. GLEE'S remake surpasses the original 1981 Journey recording of the song, which peaked at No. 9.
STOMP, the international sensation, is making its triumphant return to Orlando's Carr Performing Arts Centre for a one-week engagement June 9-14, 2009.
