The Franklin Performing Arts Company (FPAC) has announced its 2009-2010 season of productions and events. The main stage shows for the upcoming season begins with the musical Cabaret to be presented for two dinner theater shows on October 16 and 17, 2009 at the Franklin Country Club.
The fifth season of the summer hit SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE came to a spectacular conclusion last night, August 6th, as Jeanine Mason was named the champion on the two-hour season finale broadcast live from the renowned Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. Mason, 18, a Contemporary dancer from Pinecrest, FL received the most votes out of the record-breaking 21.6 million votes cast. Additionally, she danced off with the cash prize of $250,000, the title of America's Favorite Dancer and a cover feature in the November issue of Dance Spirit Magazine.
The Donmar Warehouse has announced for casting for its production of Pedro Calderon de la Barca's LIFE IS A DREAM. 'DREAM' begins preview performances October 8 and will official open October 13. The play will run through November 28.

Variety reports that the Tony Award-winning revival of HAIR has announced has recouped its investment cost of $5.76 million. The production recouped in less than six months, after opening on Broadway March 31. HAIR began preview performances March 6, 2009.
