The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has announced the Primetime Emmy Award winners in Outstanding Costumes For A Variety/Music Program Or Special and Individual Achievement In Animation for the 61st Primetime Emmy Awards. These are juried award categories, where there are no nominations; however, all entrants are evaluated and all those worthy of an Emmy are recognized. These awards will be presented at the 2009 Creative Arts Awards on Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.

The Guthrie will present Northern Lights/Southern Cross: Tales from the Other Side of the World, an international collaboration between Interact Theater and Australia's Tutti Ensemble, companies both comprised largely of artists with disabilities. An epic tale spanning cultures and hemispheres, acclaimed actor/playwright/storyteller Kevin Kling shares his story of personal growth and rebirth, in the production directed by Interact artistic director Jeanne Calvit, with original music by Tutti Ensemble's Pat Rix. The producers of BURN THE FLOOR, announced today that that the show will extend through January 3, 2010. The Latin and ballroom spectacular had originally announced a limited 12-week run. The first new show of the Broadway season, BURN THE FLOOR broke the box office record at the Longacre Theatre two weeks running. Anya Garnis and Pasha Kovalev of Fox's 'So You Think You Can Dance' joined the company on August 18.
