The Staff and Board of Trustees of Know Theatre have announced the resignation of Artistic Director, Jason Bruffy. Bruffy will be moving to Salt Lake City, Utah to become the new Executive Artistic Director at the Salt Lake Acting Company (SLAC). SLAC's 2009-2010 season opens on September 18th, so Bruffy's departure will be expedited that he may arrive in time to open their season.

The Kitchen Theatre Company presents SECRET ORDER through Sep 20, 2009. The production began previews August 26 and opened August 29.

Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles proudly announced their new and exciting 2009/20010 season on August 27th at Andaz West Hollywood. On hand for the celebration was the comedic star of stage and screen Carole Cook, who was introduced by GMCLA's Artistic Director, Hywel Sims, as a great friend to both GMCLA as well as the Gay community at large. The evening included a performance by GMCLA's own NPYNK performing a Show Business/Hollywood medley ('There's no Business Like Show Business' & 'Hooray for Hollywood') and 'Tonight' from West Side Story.

Food for Thought Productions will present 'The Lighter Side of Tennessee Williams' at the South Orange Performing Arts Center at 8pm on Thursday, October 8. The event will be directed by Antony Marsellis and will star the legendary Elaine Stritch.

MDA National Chairman and Telethon star Jerry Lewis will host the 2009 Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon. Lewis will be joined on-stage by cohosts Jann Carl, Nancy O'Dell, Alison Sweeney, Ace Young and Billy Gilman.The network show will air from 9 p.m. ET Sunday, Sept. 6, to 6:30 p.m. ET Monday, Sept. 7. The Nederlander Theatre box office opens Monday, August 31 at 10:00 AM for THE NEIL SIMON PLAYS, the first Broadway revivals of BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS and BROADWAY BOUND. The box office will be open Monday through Saturday, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. The Nederlander Theatre is located at 208 West 41st Street between Seventh and Eighth Avenues.

This Monday August 31, BURN THE FLOOR will be featured on The CW11 Morning News when Anya Garnis and Pasha Kovalev visit the set to chat and perform a number from the hit Broadway show. BURN THE FLOOR has broken box office records at The Longacre Theatre and recently announced its extension through January 3 2010. The CW11 Morning News airs from 7-9 AM on Channel 11 in New York.
