In 1857, prehistoric Mastodon bones were discovered in Baisley Pond Park. In celebration of this historic archeological find, Queens Parks, the Urban Park Rangers and Council Member Thomas White Jr. hosted the "Bones of Baisley" with more than 275 attendees.
