Originally from Boston, Charles' first college show was "Barefoot in the Park," he played the role of the telephone repairman. Next came "How to Succeed..." in which he played in the ensemble and then Chairman of the Board. He appeared in "Fiddler on the Roof" at the White Marsh Dinner Theatre as Lazar Wolf. Charles' daughter Britt played one of Tevye's younger daughters. Britt later completed a five year stint in Broadway's "Mamma Mia!" as the Sophie understudy. Charles conducts theatre trips to Broadway shows as the "Shubow Shuttle."

There was a packed house at the Embassy of Italy on Monday night, April 11 as close to 400 Signature Theatre enthusiasts paid $650 and upwards per person for the theatre's annual Gala. And when the evening was over, no one was disappointed.

It was back on December 8, 2010 that I had the pleasure to see Luke Grooms perform for the very first time at the intimate Germano's Trattoria. Housed on the second floor of the lovely Italian restaurant, Cyd Wolfe and her husband Germano have established a successful quaint home for cabaret performers. The food is terrific, the piano in tune, sound wonderful , and one can expect talented performers whenever you attend.

The Little River Band had one big hit entitled 'Reminiscing'. In the Everyman Theatre production of Shooting Star, baby-boomers will be reminiscing all night long as playwright Steven Dietz loves to bring a little nostalgia for those who attended college in the late sixties and early seventies. Dietz, a professor at the University of Texas in Austin, is a prolific playwright. He's penned 18 plays and is among the 'Top Ten Most Produced Playwrights in America'.
