- BWW Review: HEATHERS rules at TUTS Underground - I miss the TUTS Underground series, and this production of HEATHERS was the only time I got to see the show done on a large scale. I loved the film, so the musical was a natural fit for me. There can never be another HEATHERS.
- Interview: Houston native GIGI LEWIS of TINA - THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL at HOBBY CENTER - I got to talk with GIGI LEWIS, who grew up in the Greenspoint area of Houston. This interview was her first big press for TINA: THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL! She was so sweet, and I am betting she will be a HUGE star!
- Review: TAMARIE'S TOTALLY TRUE REVUE (PLUS LIES TOO!) at The Catastrophic Theatre - I love it when I get to chance to talk about CATASTROPHIC THEATRE because they are an experimental group here in Houston. So, I feel like I can use some of my sense of humor for the review. Pus, they just plain ROCK! Probably one of my favorite groups in Houston.
- Review: THE BOOK OF MARY inspires the 'Diva Within' at DIRT DOGS THEATRE - OMG! If you don't know about MARY HOOPER or DIRT DOGS THEATRE, you are not doing the theater scene right here in HTOWN at all! Mary is a legend, an icon, and a diva! THE DIRT DOGS is a husband-wife team that produces some of the best of the best theater in Houston.
- Review: SWITZERLAND at STAGES HOUSTON - This was Kenn McLaughlin's last show at STAGES to direct, and boy did it not disappoint. Sally Edmundson and Ian James tore up that stage. STAGES is also one of the best theaters in the city, and it's not in the Theater District. I love off-the-beaten-path stuff! That is just me in a nutshell!
