On June 17, 2011, Conundrum presented its first Sirens & Strings in Hallandale spotlighting 11 acts. Genres provided were pop, folk, soul, R&B, and jazz. Two editions later, cabaret and world music were featured. Comedy and poetry were also implemented exposing local female performances.

Award-winning Mosaic Theatre continues its tradition of staging thought-provoking dramatic work with its production of 'The Edge of Our Bodies" by celebrated author Adam Rapp, the fifth and final show of Mosaic's landmark Eleventh Anniversary Season. Over the past year, Mosaic has staged some of the most memorable moments in theatre, including its sold-out production of Eric Simonson's hit play "Lombardi" and most recently, Mosaic's critically acclaimed World Premiere production of "A Measure of Cruelty" by Joe Calarco. Mosaic Theatre received numerous contest entries from area high schools, and finalists were chosen based on votes cast by Facebook friends and by a panel of celebrity judges including: Brett Loewenstern (semifinalist, American Idol Season 10), Emmy Award Winner Louis Aguirre (of WSVN's Deco Drive), and award-winning playwright Joe Calarco. The finalist videos were shown to audiences attending the World Premiere of Calarco's acclaimed play "A Measure of Cruelty" which ran for four weeks at Mosaic Theatre and garnered significant critical praise. During its run, audience members were invited to vote for their favorite student video.

The Boca Raton Theatre Guild's 2012-2013 season will begin with a comedy, and end with a classic. A.R. Gurney's Sylvia, and Kander & Ebb's Chicago will run in September and March at the Willow Theatre in Sugar Sand Park.

Craig Smith, Managing Partner of the new Alhambra Theatre & Dining announced this morning that Joyce DeWitt will star in Sam Bobrick's romantic comedy, Remember Me. Miss DeWitt is most widely known to audiences for her starring role as 'Janet Wood' in the ABC Television hit series "Three's Company," but she is no stranger to live theater, working both as actress and director in a stage career which spans over forty years. She recently starred in A Scattered, Smothered and Covered Christmas Musical and the Canadian productions of the 2000 Pulitzer Prize-winning play Dinner With Friends and Alfred Uhry's Tony Award-winning play The Last Night of Ballyhoo.

Gulfshore Playhouse announced the final show that will complete their 2012-2013 season: "I Am My Own Wife", the Tony Award-winning and Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Doug Hughes. A fast-paced and zany look at Edison and life at the turn of the 20th century, Fire of Genius gives audiences a rare glimpse into the life and times of 'The Wizard of Menlo Park.'
