As HAMILTON continues its journey as a nationwide phenomenon, the Chicago company is growing, and the Broadway cast has welcomed new changes since their 11 Tony award-winning sweep in June. As BroadwayWorld reported earlier, the Chicago production of HAMILTON has found its Aaron Burr in two-time Tony award nominee Joshua Henry, and the Broadway cast will now feature Mandy Gonzalez and Jonathan Kirkland as Angelica Schuyler and George Washington, respectively.

Playing the Capital Repertory Theatre in a co-production with Virginia's Barter Theatre, A NIGHT WITH JANIS JOPLIN delights audiences with a concert style show that captures the legendary rocker in the prime of her career. BroadwayWorld sat down with Kristin Piacentile, who plays Joplin for select performances, to learn more about what it's like to embody such a legendary woman onstage.

Jenn Gambatese has been tapped to join the cast of SCHOOL OF ROCK on Broadway, succeeding Sierra Boggess in the role of Rosalie Mullins after Boggess plays her last performance on August 9th, 2016. No stranger to the stage, Gambatese has originated the Broadway roles of Jane in Tarzan and Natalie in All Shook Up, played Glinda in the first national tour of Wicked, and was also on Broadway in: Hairspray, Is He Dead?, A Year with Frog and Toad, and made her B'way debut in Footloose.

FULLY COMMITTED, Jesse Tyler Ferguson's hilarious one man comedy, will play its final Broadway performance at the Lyceum Theatre this Sunday, July 31, 2016. FULLY COMMITTED started previews on April 1st, and after an opening on April 25th and an extended run, it will have played 28 previews and 104 performances. Following last week's announcementof new album Heart Like a Levee (out everywhere October 7 on Merge Records), Hiss Golden Messenger share details of their world tour, beginning October 14 in Asheville, NC. It will see Hiss Golden Messenger creative force M.C. Taylor and his band travel throughout North America before playing shows in the UK and Europe in December.

Get ready for a night of laughter on the Great White Way! As BroadwayWorld has recently reported, Nick Kroll and John Mulaney will be taking their famed alter egos Gil Faizon and George St. Geegland to the Broadway stage with Oh, Hello this fall.
