Mark Seibert was playing an open air concert last Sunday at the Theatre in the Park in Vienna. He is one of the most - if not the most - acclaimed musical singer with ongoing sold-out concerts in Germany and Austria. Mark has been playing leading characters in popular shows such as Elisabeth, Wicked, Pretty Woman. Additionally, he has been asked to create characters in new productions like Schikaneder or recently Robin Hood.

In this concert, Mark was reflecting on his career. He chose songs which could be headlined with "Songs of unanswered love" or "Songs of fallen heroes" which he used to play a lot in the past. Mark always shows great confidence in singing these emotional or powerful songs.

His special guests were Ana Milva Gomes and Ninke Latten. Ana is well known by the Viennese audience because of her appearance in numerous productions like Mamma Mia, Bodyguard and Cats, whereas Ninke was introduced by Mark this evening. She was recently described as the "new shooting star" by Christian Struppeck, the director of the "Vereinigte Bühnen Wien" (Combined Stages of Vienna). Mark and his guests will be playing in Rebecca from October this year in Vienna, in which Mark will take over the role of Maxim de Winter. This is why we got a sneak preview of the show by presenting "Hilf mir durch die Nacht" (Help me through the night). My personal highlights of this evening were "Sind die Sterne gegen uns" (Written in the stars) from Aida and "Schuldlos" (Innocent) from Romeo & Juliette. Both shows have not been played "en suite" since 2006 in Germany/Austria and their return to the stage is more than due.

It was a great evening at a lovely location in Vienna. Shortly after the concert, Mark announced that he'll be back at this venue on the 2nd July 2023. Tickets will be available through https://theaterimpark.at/.
