A Journey through the Movie Musical Songbook
This is the greatest show, or shall I say, Clunarical.
Culinarical 8.0. Wolfgang Ebner's Musical and Dine Dinner show is back for another season, with famous songs from movies. Shortly after the WICKED phenomenon hit movie theatres worldwide, choosing the movie theme for this year's run was smart. To quote (Vindobonas greatest showman) Wolfgang Ebner, finding the perfect mix with the right songs to enthrall has been quite challenging. With the usual suspects, like DIRTY DANCING (Time Of My Life), the de riguer MAMMA MIA! Medley, or Disney-MAsh Up's, there have been a few less familiar ones in the track list, like FOR HER from the latest Broadway adaption of THE GREAT GATSBY, precisely presented by the with a dashingly handsome voice gifted Chris Green.
The ensemble is well cast, with familiar (Culinarical) faces in Musical theatre, like Tanja Petrasek , Anetta Szabo, Enny De Alba, Lukas Weinberger, (the already mentioned) Chris Green, and Konstantin Zander (The Und Bitte Podcast Host). Together with these fine singers on stage, INDEED UNIQUE (Winners of Austria's DIE GROSSE CHANCE 2024) is the famous dance combo led by Lisa and Thomas Tatzber-Poms. An excellent addition to the program because what's not to love about a stunning dance performance? Barely missed at Szabo's ALL THAT JAZZ (CHICAGO), it is Razzle Dazzling when you have to RAZZLE DAZZLE alone but Szabo has made the best out of it.
CLINICAL 8.0 feels like listening to a Best Of Movie Playlist (or, like we older ones would say a Recording); you are traveling through Musical Movie history, from A like ALADDIN to W like WICKED, from Up Tempo numbers to Ballads, a varied menu with something for everyone. Spiced up with INDEED UNIQUE dance numbers, and to mention the powerful Kids with REVOLTING CHILDREN (MATILDA), who brought down the house early in the evening.
The show offers some of the musical theatre's finest numbers, with a delicate three-course meal surrounded by giant screens and lovely decorated musical-themed tables. An entertainingly culinarical evening at (what already became an institution) W.Ebners VINDOBONA and a fine addition to the Culinarical legacy. Let's be curious about what the creatives have in store for Culinarical 9.0
