Swan Lake at Arts Centre Melbourne Hamer Hall

Swan Lake is a tale of evil, love, deception and forgiveness.

An evil spell cast over a princess and her handmaidens transforms them into swans. Only true love and faithfulness can break this spell, but when a prince declares his true love for the Swan Princess, he is deceived by the evil magician and the spell is doomed to remain unbroken.

This most popular and well-loved ballet will be performed in a unique setting with international guest artists and 50 student dancers of The Australian Conservatoire of Ballet. Tchaikovsky’s hauntingly beautiful full-length score will be played by the 65 musicians of the ACB Orchestra led by the renowned conductor Peter Bandy.
