Award winning cabaret icon Amy Bodossian invites you into her bedroom for a heart opening and hilarious evening of comedy, burlesque, music, spoken word and interviews with some of Naarm, Melbourne’s most compelling performers… on her bed!
Amy hosts this live cabaret talk show - which received a City of Melbourne Arts Grant - with the striking blend of whimsy, wit and vulnerability that has made her one of this city's most beloved performers.
Her first show for 2025 welcomes burlesque/performance artist/acting supernova Maude Davey - television and film actor, star of Finucane & Smith (The Burlesque Hour, Glory Box) and much more. And the truly inspiring Farhad Badesh - Kurdish artist/musician/ activist, refugee (star of Netflix documentary Freedom is Beautiful) who released 8 songs and over 150 artworks whilst detained by the Australian Govt on Manus Island. He continues to use his voice and art to raise awareness.
Maude will electrify with her wildly innovative burlesque/performance art and Farhad will captivate with his powerful music. Then they'll hop onto Amy's bed for exclusive heart to hearts. Come for the fun... stay for the illuminating insights.
The Toff In Town is at Second Floor, Curtin House, 252 Swanston Street, Melbourne, Victoria.
