Jacob Collins-Levy leads an all-star cast in Melbourne Shakespeare Company’s Hamlet, opening on Friday 6 September at fortyfivedownstairs.
Directed by multi-award winning director Iain Sinclair (Berlin, A View from the Bridge), Shakespeare’s ultimate tragedy Hamlet will mark MSC Studio’s return to fortyfivedownstairs following sell-out seasons of Julius Caesar and King Lear.
Leading our cast on a perilous journey of madness, murder and lost love is Jacob Collins-Levy (Doctor Who, Prosper), portraying the titular role of Hamlet. This star of the screen is treating Melbourne audiences to a rare theatrical experience, blending his cinematic acumen with the timeless complexity of this iconic tragedy. Joining Collins-Levy on stage are a distinguished ensemble of actors, including several familiar faces that audiences will rediscover from previous MSC Studio seasons.
