Having performed at the Royal Opera House in London, the Vienna State Opera and the Metropolitan Opera in New York, Lisa makes her triumphant return to Melbourne in this glittering gala concert tribute to the anniversaries of Wagner (1813), Verdi (1813), Britten (1913) and more.
Star baritone José Carbó also joins the party, bringing a glimpse of Spanish colour inspired by the centenary of Manuel de Falla’s La Vida Breve. They will be joined by the Victorian Opera chorus who will bring to life such classics as Mascagni’s famous Easter Hymn from Cavalleria Rusticana.
Finally the infectious rhythms of Johann Strauss’ Die Fledermaus Act II will provide a sparkling finish to proceedings, celebrating a bold new chapter in Victorian Opera’s history. Conducted by Richard Mills and featuring Orchestra Victoria. This will be a night to remember.
