East Meets West: Chinese New Year Celebration with Tan Dun at Arts Centre Melbourne Hamer Hall

He returns to Melbourne to help the city celebrate the 2014 Chinese New Year (The Year of the Horse) with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Paganini Competition First Prize violinist Lu Siqing and China's leading young pipa player, Xie Yudan.

In this special concert, two of Tan Dun's major works share the program with classics from the Western tradition.
