When disillusioned artist Sam (Lucy Ross, Anyone Can Whistle) dies and is visited by the Grim Reaper Morgan (Chloe Towan,Time Lord), she soon realises that Death isn’t anything like she expected. But, as the night wears on and Sam questions the purpose of life, Morgan soon realises this visit isn’t what she expected either!
The latest collaboration of writer/producer Chloe Towan and director Nathan Ferandez, whose previous work Scary Goats Tour has been described as “clever and witty” (Stage Whispers) and “an original, funny play” (Squirrel Comedy), Death Pretzel is a darkly comedic exploration of life, purpose and friendship that asks the important questions:
- What happens when we die?
- Is there an afterlife?
- Does the Grim Reaper like pretzels?
Death Pretzel was first written for Antipodes Theatre Company’s Play in a Day festival and is now making its full length debut this July at The Butterfly Club, Melbourne. Bookings recommended.
