X-Factor Top 10 Finalist, Nathaniel Willemse Performs An All-Ages Gig At The OCG on Today ImageOn a spring day in 1939, The Prince of Soul Marvin Gaye was born to loving parents in Washington DC and became one of the elite few who shaped the sound of Motown in the 1960s.

His tumultuous life and legendary music have been brought to life in an intimate 60-minute show featuring multi-platinum selling artist Nathaniel Willemse.

Nathaniel takes us through Marvin Gaye's life and music with hit after hit, revealing along the way the relationships that shaped the music. Nathaniel's soulful, soaring vocals earned him a top 6 finish on The X Factor Australia and top 5 spots for his first two singles, You and Live Louder. In 2014 he supported global icon and Grammy Award-winning artist Mariah Carey on her national tour.

"I did Idol in 2006 when I was 20 and made the top 24. A lot of my friends didn't know I sang because I didn't sing in school and there I was on this national singing competition on TV. It was a big thing to be on TV and get judged. When I got booted from Idol I was green. I wasn't ready." said Nathaniel. "I did The X Factor when I was 27, so I had an idea of how it operated, but still not entirely. It was fun and challenging. I pushed myself and it paid off."

>From the song Sexual Healing to the soul classic Heard it through the Grapevine, Nathaniel's four-octave range will have audiences mesmerised. If you think of the Multi-Platinum selling song, "You" and the funk soul hit "Live Louder" you will start to get the picture of how this show was meant to be.

The OCG is proud to be giving fans the chance to enjoy this talented performer in a truly intimate performance space, just them, Nathaniel and his pianist playing songs, and sharing stories and musical relationships.
