On Friday January 22, the Sydney Theatre Company welcomes Lions at your Door to kick off The Wharf Sessions for 2010.

Lions at your Door, one of the hottest bands to come out of Sydney in the past few years, combine a heady mix of indie, electro, rock and jazz. Their hit single LAYD has been played in nightclubs and on radio stations across Sydney, New York, London, Japan, Spain & Italy and their debut self-titled EP, which was released in July 2009, has been met with rave reviews.

The event starts at 10pm on January 22 at the Wharf and is completely free so it is not necessary to book ahead of time.

The Wharf Sessions is a regular series of free post-show gigs at The Wharf, Sydney Theatre Company's harbour-side home at Walsh Bay. Sydney Theatre Company, as the premier theatre company in Australia, has been a major force in Australian drama since its establishment in 1978. The company presents an annual twelve-play program at its home base The Wharf, on Sydney's harbour at Walsh Bay, the nearby Sydney Theatre, which STC also manages, and as the resident theatre company of the Sydney Opera House. Current Artistic Directors, Cate Blanchett and Andrew Upton joined the Company at the beginning of 2008. For more information visit www.sydneytheatre.com.au.
