The Blues Brothers are back behind bars at the Old Castlemaine Gaol this November!
'It's 106 miles to Chicago, we gotta full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses'.
With a blistering ten-piece band at their backs, including a three-piece horn section, no corners have been cut to bring regional Victoria a night straight from God.
Dress and dance like it's the 80s again, as the walls come tumbling down with some of the most beloved Blues Brothers tunes - Gimme Some Lovin', Sweet Home Chicago, Everybody (needs somebody), Jailhouse Rock and Riot in Cell Block Number Nine. The songs that inspired a generation of blues and movie lovers from around the world will be performed for one night only at the OCG - one of Victoria's most distinctive live music venues. According to Musical Director, Ben Wicks, "We've played some great spaces in our time, but there's going to be something special about performing these classic tunes in a 150-year-old gaol. Singing in the OCG is going to be pretty magic, and we can't wait."One Night Only - Blues Brothers. Saturday November 11th at 8pm. All tickets $30. Available at www.oldcastlemainegaol.com.au, the OCG office and at the door [Online bookings attract a booking fee]
