The Blues Brothers are back behind bars at the Old Castlemaine Gaol this November!

'It's 106 miles to Chicago, we gotta full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses'.

With a blistering ten-piece band at their backs, including a three-piece horn section, no corners have been cut to bring regional Victoria a night straight from God.

Dress and dance like it's the 80s again, as the walls come tumbling down with some of the most beloved Blues Brothers tunes - Gimme Some Lovin', Sweet Home Chicago, Everybody (needs somebody), Jailhouse Rock and Riot in Cell Block Number Nine.

The songs that inspired a generation of blues and movie lovers from around the world will be performed for one night only at the OCG - one of Victoria's most distinctive live music venues.

According to Musical Director, Ben Wicks, "We've played some great spaces in our time, but there's going to be something special about performing these classic tunes in a 150-year-old gaol. Singing in the OCG is going to be pretty magic, and we can't wait."

James Grim (Brothers Grim) and Paul Slattery (Moreland City Soul Revue) front some of Melbourne's blues royalty, including members of Deep Street Soul and Justin Yap Band (Australian Blues Awards - Band of the Year 2017).

The show debuted to a sold-out season at Melbourne's Good Beer Week in 2016, and has been on the run ever since, and are now hiding out in venues across regional Victoria.

"We are suggesting that people dig out their best Blues Brothers outfits and really make a night of it." Gayle McClure, OCG Events Manager said. "I think we will have one off dress code for the night "No-sunnies, then No entry" Miss McClure said with a laugh.
