It may be a time for peace and forgiveness, but no Christmas would be normal without watching those you love turn back into children for the day, for better or worse. In the case of the Robertsons, it's always for worse.
After a successful 2017, Thatcher's Boy Theatre are finishing the year on a festive and entertaining note. More Pudding Anyone? is a farce of the festive variety. Written and directed by British actor and writer Kieran Gould-Dowen, More Pudding Anyone? follows a Melbournian family just like your own, as hilarity unfolds around the Christmas dinner table to bizarre extremes.
Meet the Robertsons. All Julie wants is to uphold her Christmas traditions and have all her family under the same roof whilst she still can. But her kids are no longer children and doing so is proving difficult, no matter how childish they act. Burnt turkeys, faces full of cream, an unconscious Santa Claus, a deceased Christmas tree, matching jumpers, and even a poorly timed proposal; Christmas with the Robertsons is never boring.
More Pudding Anyone? is a night of slapstick, quick fire wit, and hilarity; all enjoyed with The Butterfly Club's custom made cocktail Merry Christmapolitan in hand. It's perfect for a Christmas work party or even with those friends and family you see just once a year.
"Christmas is a time of togetherness but we all know it never goes smoothly. This cast is hilarious and truly captures that childish nature we're all guilty of slipping into. Think National Lampoon live on stage. If you don't laugh at this, you must be the Grinch." - Kieran Gould-Dowen, writer and director of More Pudding Anyone?
This production opens on 12th December 2017 and runs for six nights. This show contains strong language and nudity. Bookings recommended. For tickets visit thebutterflyclub.com.
