Following its Sydney premiere on July 2, TWISTED BROADWAY is set to return to its hometown on July 23. After two successful seasons in Melbourne, 2012 will prove to be the show's biggest yet with the talented hosts Melissa Bergland and Rhonda Burchmore bringing the ol' razzle dazzle. TWISTED BROADWAY will play at Fed Square's BMW Edge.

Joining them is a star-spangled cast of Australia's musical theatre finest who have banded together to help raise awareness for those living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.

Modelled on the success of New York's BROADWDAY BACKWARDS, TWISTED BROADWAY is an annual charity concert in which performers sing songs originally written for the opposite gender. Audiences will be entertained by cast members from Australia's hit musical productions, including ANNIE, LEGALLY BLONDE, MOONSHADOW, AN OFFICER AND A GENTLEMEN, SOUTH PACIFIC, A CHORUS LINE, NEXT TO NORMAL, and more.

The Melbourne line-up includes hosts Melissa Bergland and Rhonda Burchmore, and feature artists such as Tim Campbell, Jaz Flowers, Sam Ludeman, Julie Goodwyn, Samantha Hagen, David Rogers Smith, Amy Lehpamer, Matthew Robinson and Kellie Rode

TWISTED BROADWAY supports Oz Showbiz Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, and all proceeds raised will be donated to help those affected by and living with HIV/AIDS. According to the AIDS Trust of Australia, over 21,390 people are now living with HIV and on average 21 people become newly diagnosed with HIV every week. Over half experience difficulty meeting daily living costs and more than a third live below the poverty line.
