Following a sold-out season at the Sydney Opera House, Sydney Theatre Company presents acclaimed Australian singer-songwriter Lior in special return performances of Shadows & Light at Wharf 1 on 9, 10, 11 & 12 September, in support of Lior's chosen charity Youngcare.
Shadows & Light is a uniquely theatrical concert experience, combining beautiful and moving ‘shadow artistry' with Lior's celebrated vocals and music.
Lior performs songs from his two highly successful albums, Autumn Flow and Corner of an Endless Road, alongside guest performers, the Tailem String Quartet. Shadow artists, Stephen Mushin and Anna Parry, have specifically designed projected sets to accompany and interact with Lior and feature themselves as live performers during the concert.
Lior has received several ARIA nominations since his debut in 2005. His debut independent and self-financed album, Autumn Flow went Gold, making it one of the most successful independent debut releases by an Australian artist. His second album, Corner of an Endless Road, was released in February 2008 and debuted at #2 on the Australian album charts. It held the top spot on the independent charts for severAl Weeks and was followed by a sold-out national tour.
A percentage of proceeds from this season will be donated to Youngcare.
