Music By The Sea presents - Spiros Rantos (violin) and Brachi Tilles (piano) performing Handel's sonata in D minor, Beethoven's sonata no 8 in G major, also works by Mozart, Brahms and Piazzolla.

It was Vienna, Austria, the city of music where Greek-born Spiros Rantos and Israeli-born Brachi Tilles started their musical partnership. They performed and recorded in most of the musical centers of the world. They came to Australia in 1976 as Artists-in Residence for six months at the Victorian College of the Arts and decided to stay permanently. From 1978 to 1985 they taught at the University of Southern Queensland. In 1985 they moved to Melbourne and in 1996 to Brisbane where Spiros is a senior lecturer at the University of Queensland. Their playing combines Viennese finesse with Mediterranean temperament. Central European refinement and Southern charm and warmth give special magic to their performance.
