Psychology student turned award winning entertainer, Simon Taylor will bring his solo stage show "Pieces of Mind" to The Butterfly Club (204 Bank St, South Melbourne), November 16-20. All shows are at 9 p.m.

Studies in psychology and a career as an illusionist has rendered him an insightful entertainer. Known for his personable demeanor and energetic performance style, Taylor delivers high powered entertainment with intellectually captivating content.

Taylor says "Pieces of Mind is a show about solving life's little puzzles. I will teach you how to trick yourself into feeling happier, predict your thoughts and read your mind."

Based in Melbourne, Taylor has produced many sold out stage shows, and won the 2009 Adelaide Magic Convention. He is regularly sought after by science groups and academics for his understanding of human behaviour and insight into the construction of illusion.

This is a debut season before tackling the Australian festival circuit in 2011. South Australia's Science Exchange has already bought the show for the entire run of the Adelaide Fringe Festival, and the show will return to Melbourne as part of the Melbourne Comedy Festival.

Tickets are $18-22 and can be purchased at www.thebutterflyclub.com. The show runs approximately 60 minutes.
