In collaboration with 4MBS (producers of the festival), Music By The Sea presents - Elizabethan Concert - with - 'The Badinerie Players' - performing English music from Shakespeare's lifetime by composers such as: Dowland, Morley, Tye, Purcell and others...The Shakespeare Festival 2009 from 24 October to 1 November provides the opportunity for people of all ages to experience the richness of great classics in a relaxed atmosphere and to experience the friendly atmosphere of both Bulimba and Sandgate.

There's something for everyone - plays, film, music and food. Some of Brisbane's best actors and musicians are involved. They get to share their passion for the works of Shakespeare over the two weekends.

The Badinerie Players are:

Wayne Brennan, Margaret Connolly, Chen Yang - baroque violin
Nicky Tomkin - baroque viola
Dan Curro - baroque cello
Michael O'Loghlin - viola da gamba and violone
Catherine Stirling - harpsichord
guest soloist Anneliese Berglind - soprano
