STC Ed presents Ruby Moon by Matt Cameron- Original songs by Andrew McNaughton, Lyrics by Matt Cameron

27 April to 17 May 2011. Opening Friday 29 April at 7pm.
Wharf 2, Sydney Theatre Company, The Wharf, Pier 4 Hickson Road, Walsh Bay

Matt Cameron's dark absurdist tale, Ruby Moon, is directed by Sarah Giles at Wharf 2 from 27 April to 13 May 2011 as part of Sydney Theatre Company's extensive 2011 Education (STC Ed) program, with evening performances open to the general public.

In the picture-perfect suburb of Flaming Tree Grove, a little girl called Ruby disappears when she sets off to visit her grandmother at the end of the cul-de-sac. She is never seen again.

Having to confront the void their little Ruby has left behind, her parents Sylvie and Ray Moon spiral into suspicion and sorrow as they search for answers to the haunting mystery.

Actors Eliza Logan and Jo Turner play Sylvie and Ray and create a whole neighbourhood of enigmatic and eccentric characters recruited to uncover Ruby's mysterious disappearance.

Sarah Giles is the Richard Wherrett Fellow 2011. The fellowship gives emerging directors opportunities to work within Sydney Theatre Company on a range of projects while developing their own craft while gaining useful artistic support and experience.
