Playhouse Pantomimes will hit the Doncaster Playhouse stage this September school holidays, presenting an original musical adaptation of 'Sleeping Beauty' with what writer-director Blake Everett calls "an updated Playhouse Pantomimes spin." 'Sleeping Beauty' is aimed at families with young children aged two to ten (babies on laps enter free!), and will mark Playhouse Pantomimes' fourth production of the year following sell-out seasons of 'Cinderella,' 'Jack and the Beanstalk' and 'The Wind in the Willows.'
Blake Everett has written an all-new script, collaborating with Matt Wallace to write music and lyrics. Everett will also direct and star in the show, which features several return performers to the Playhouse Pantomimes stage. Aidan Niarros appears as the Prince, having previously played Badger in July's 'The Wind in the Willows'; Gabriella Russo, who played the title role in 'Cinderella,' appears as the Good Fairy; and Alanah Parkin, who has appeared in all six of Playhouse Pantomimes' previous shows, will play the Evil Fairy. In the leading role of Princess Aurora, Sophie Guidolin makes her Playhouse Pantomimes debut.
As always, the show will feature singing, dancing, comedy, puppetry, and plenty of audience interaction, promising fun for the whole family!
Freshly popped popcorn, drinks and snacks available for purchase pre-show and at interval. Head out into the foyer after the show for your chance to get a photo with your favourite characters! Tickets are selling fast - don't miss out!
