Riverside Big Notes presents Italian Jazz Lounge With Paul Grabowsky and Virna Sanzone Riverside Theatres Sunday 17 November 3.00pm Riverside Theatres end their 25th Anniversary year with some Italian Trattoria celebrations Ending their 25th anniversary celebrations with a bang, Riverside Theatres are bringing a little bit of Italian for all to enjoy at their Italian Jazz Lounge, with refreshments and a performance on Sunday 17 November 2013. Four-time Aria award winner Paul Grabowsky brings his boundless musical imagination to this new collaboration with one of Australia's most distinguished jazz and soul singers, Virna Sanzone, as they explore the rich musical heritage of Virna's Sicilian and Italian roots. Over two powerful sets, they bring together the crème of Australian jazz to awaken songs from as far back as the poetic Neapolitan tradition through to popular music of the early twentieth century.
