Legendary children's entertainer Peter Combe, an inter-galactic adventure with Polyglot Theatre and a chance to help create a totally random musical are among the highlights of Darebin Arts' September School Holiday program held across Northcote Town Hall and Darebin Arts and Entertainment Centre (DAEC) from Saturday 19 September - Sunday 4 October, 2015.

"The City of Darebin will be bubbling with family-friendly activity these September School Holidays," said City of Darebin Mayor Steven Tsitas. "We are delighted that such internationally renowned performers and companies, such as Peter Combe and Polyglot Theatre, will take to the stages and present some truly astonishing productions that will appeal to all Melburnians - both big and small."

Polyglot Theatre's Separation Street will make its world premiere on Saturday 19 September to Sunday 4 October at Northcote Town Hall. Set in the unknown reaches of outer space, Separation Street is a walking theatrical adventure with a twist: kids are separated from their accompanying adults at the box office and are taken on their own electrifying journey into a tangible, interactive and walk-through world.

Legendary children's singer-songwriter Peter Combe returns to Melbourne these September School Holidays with a brand new Melbourne-premiere show Wash Your Kids in Orange Juice. Playing DAEC on Sunday 20 and Monday 21 September, Melbourne families can sing their hearts out to Combe's seminal classics including, Mr Clicketty Cane, the fictional character who famously washes his face with orange juice, Newspaper Mama, Toffee Apple, Juicy Juicy Green Grass, Spaghetti Bolognaise, Quirky Berserky the Turkey from Turkey ... and many more.

Random Musical is a 'one of a kind' performance especially for kids and families from the award-winning creators of Spontaneous Broadway. Playing DAEC on Tuesday 29 and Wednesday 30 September, kids and families will help create the script for Random Musical that will be performed on-the-spot by talented comedians Scott Brennan, Rik Brown and Gillian Cosgriff.

After the performance, kids and families can also partake in the School of Random Workshop where they can learn the 'tricks of the trade' of improvisation. A hands-on 60 minute workshop full of fun music and drama activities, the workshop will teach kids the rules of improvisation and how to create songs, characters, scenes and stories on the spot. The workshop will be led by the stars of Random Musical, Brennan, Brown and Cosgriff.

With a focus on innovative and participatory events for kids and families, Darebin Arts' umbrella program for kids and families, LoudMouth, presents a year-round program of new, exciting and innovative theatre productions from around Australia.
