Supergroup Perfect Tripod (Eddie Perfect and Tripod) are back with a fresh take on their classic act of Australian Songs at the Playhouse, Arts Centre Melbourne on Thursday 3 April - Saturday 5 April 2014.

The unlikely but proven combination of comedy scene favourites Tripod with the vocal and arranging skills of showbiz powerhouse Eddie Perfect (TV's Offspring, Shane Warne The Musical and MTC's The Beast) have struck a chord with Australian audiences. They will bring humour and heart to clever renditions of iconic Aussie tunes from artists including Gotye, Men at Work, Kylie Minogue, the Bee Gees, Clare Bowditch, Cold Chisel, John Farnham and more.

The group first performed an impromptu rendition of Paul Kelly's Meet Me in the Middle of the Air at Arts Centre Melbourne's The Famous Spiegeltent in 2011 as a bit of a party piece. This led to TV spots on the 2011 Logies and ABC TV's Sideshow and Kelly himself called the four-part a capella "stunning". Born from that creative seed, the group blossomed into a slick harmony-pop act that led them to do a successful touring show in 2013, which garnered full houses and rave reviews in both Melbourne and Brisbane.

Off the back of their successful tour, the group released an album in August 2013 called Perfect Tripod Australian Songs which ABC Radio National crowned Album of the Week last year.

Raring to work together again with their signature blend of kitch tunes, heartfelt harmonies and highly-complex arrangements, Perfect Tripod are currently working on a new raft of Aussie classics and modern favourites to delight audiences with.
