Salty gherkins on a queer toothpick!

Melbourne's most debauched alternative-comedy troupe PO PO MO CO takes Fringe audiences through a cocktail mix of cruise ship, tupperware parties and topped with a dash of biting social commentary.

Be fed by eighties nibblies and shocked by a shamelessly theatrical skewer of queer sketch, neo-burlesque, subversive characters and absurd comedy.

The eight member comedy performance art group PO PO MO CO will be performing their most screwball show yet Recreation & Leisure in the 2017 Melbourne Fringe Festival.

Founder and producer, Kimberley Twiner, says "We are self-confessed laugh whores, we get onstage to exploit ourselves for the audience. This pure entertainment. An ensemble of queers this is neo-vaudeville. We are Australia's only queer physical comedy troupe."

The sauciest idiots on the block, PO PO MO CO (Post Post Modern Comedy) are extreme takers of the piss making them resident comedy troupe at award winning queer venue, Hares and Hyenas. PO PO MO CO's debut year in 2016 saw sell out shows, rave reviews, and have a dedicated cult following.

"From its humble beginnings in an East Brunswick lounge room, PO PO MO CO has become one of Australia's slickest comedy outfits. It is comedy for thinkers with hearts: absurdist, challenging and side-splittingly funny with a powerful political bite." - Crusader Hillis, Hares and Hyenas

Audiences will never see the soap The Bold & The Beautiful in the same way again. Nor will they ever be able to even smell vegemite again without thinking of PO PO MO CO. They are the new piss-take of Australiana and Melbourne better be ready.

The PO PO MO CO ensemble are Kimberley Twiner, Amaya Vecellio, Dave Maney, Anna Lehmann Thomson, Lily Fish, Thomas Quirk, Hallie Goodman and Claire Sullivan.
