OCPAC are thrilled to be bringing Catch Me If You Can to the stage this September for eight shows only.
This high-Flying Musical comedy is about chasing your dreams and not getting caught. Seeking fame and fortune, precocious teenager Frank Abignale Jnr. runs away from home to begin and unforgettable adventure. With nothing more than his boyish charm, a big imagination and millions of dollars in forgEd Checks, Frank successfully poses as a pilot, a doctor and a lawyer - living the high life and winning the girl of his dreams. But when Frank's lies catch the attention of FBI Special Agent, Carl Hanratty, Carl purses Frank across the country to make him pay for his crimes.
OCPAC has a stellar team to bring this incredible story to life. Leading the way is Director and Choreographer, Sam Hooper. Hooper has an extensive list of professional credits to his name; most recently he performed in the Production Company's Funny Girl and toured Australia and Asia with CATS. He also wrote, directed and starred in his own show that featured during the Melbourne Cabaret Festival, Death Suits You. Hooper can do it all and has eagerly taken on the role of Director and Choreographer for Catch Me If You Can.
The production team is filled with theatre professionals leading the amazingly talented cast - a mix of aspiring performers and theatre lovers. James Watkinson takes the lead role as Frank Abignale Jnr. His powerful voice is captivating and his natural charisma makes him perfect for the role.
