Normie Rowe embodied the youth of his times. He was one of the first Melbourne entertainers with the 'long hair' of the new Beatles-influenced music era and he released a song suggesting that "the things read in the Bible" weren't necessarily true. He was followed by screaming girls and created riots wherever he performed, was crowned King of Pop and achieved national no 1 hits. He recorded a song in England which made it into the English Charts and was edging ever closer to international stardom when the biggest challenge to his career came at the hands of the Australian Government.

He was called up for service in the Vietnam War and spent two years there. When he returned from Vietnam, his pop status had waned but he continued to perform and scored further hits.

In the 80's Normie took to the stage and television, performing in Sons and Daughters, the lead role of Valjean in 600 performances of 'Les Miserables (which he played to great acclaim), Annie, Chess, Evita and many more shows. Normie still records and that voice is still as dynamic as ever. He has become a spokesperson for The Vietnam Veterans and has been recognised by the Australian War Memorial as a National Hero.

Colleen hewett started her career early performing with bands around Australia in the 1960's. She recorded her debut single 'Superstar' in the 1970's. She was cast in the musical Godspell when she recorded a song from that show Day By Day followed a little later with recordings of Dreaming My Dreams With You and Wind Beneath My Wings. She was awarded Gold Records for each of these recordings and was crowned Queen of Pop two years running.

Her Stage, Theatre and Television career include performances in Pippin, the rock opera Tommy and Return to the Forbidden Planet. She has performed in a number of television dramas including Homicide, Matlock Police, The Truckies, Carson's Law, Division 4, Young Ramsay, Cop Shop, Prisoner and The Flying Doctors, many of which had an international release. She played Marion Woolnough, the mother of Peter Allen, in the Australian tour of The Boy From Oz with Hugh Jackman; Matron "Mama" Morton in the musical Chicago with Caroline O'Connor Johnny O'Keefe's mother in Shout and the movie The Cup she plays Pat Oliver, the mother of jockeys Jason and DamIan Oliver

JOHNNY YOUNG started his career in the 60's with number one hits Step Back and Cara Lyn, which were the biggest-selling Australian singles of the 1960s, behind Normie Rowe's "Que Sera Sera"/"Shakin' All Over". He recorded the hit All My Lovin in 1967, which has become his signature song. He also had songs written specifically for him by the Gibb Brothers which made it into the charts. Johnny won a Logie for 'Best Teenage Personality' in 1967 for his work on The Go!! Show

As well as a recording artist, Johnny also penned many songs for other artists, including The Real Thing which was a number one hit for Russell Morris. From 1971 to 1988 a show he devised, produced and hosted on Channel 10 'Young Talent Time' a children's variety show and talent quest was a launching pad for several Australian performers including Jamie Redfern, Debra Byrne, Dannii Minogue and Tina Arena.

Johnny Young has been a singer, songwriter, composer, Record and TV producer, both television and radio presenter and established the Johnny Young School of Talent for young aspiring actors. He is one of Australia's most versatile talents.
