The Nexus Multicultural Arts Centre has announced its upcoming events through April 24. They include the Nunga Music Showcase, a screening of Sacred Ground, and Zulya and the Children of the Underground.

Nunga Music Showcase
Enjoy a series of public contemporary music showcases by local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander performers, including Eddie Peters, Corey Theatre, Nancy Bates and Robert Champion. Supported by Tandanya and the Adelaide City Council. The showcase schedule is as follows:

Fri 9 April, 6:30pm - Adelaide Central Markets Free Concert
Sat 10 April, 2pm - Rundle Mall Free Concert
Fri 16 April, 12:30pm - Museum Lawns Free Concert
Sat 17 April, 8pm - Nexus Cabaret: Nunga Music Night $5 Donation at the door


Human Rights Arts and Film Festival Fundraiser: Screening of Sacred Ground by Kim Mavromantis
Thu 15 April, 7pm
This powerful documentary follows four years of Quenten Agius' struggle to save the ancient Black Point burial ground on Yorke Peninsula.
Event includes a Q&A with the Director.

Zulya and the Children of the Underground Supported by Golonka
Sat 24 April, 8pm
Nexus Multicultural Arts presents ARIA Award-winning Zulya and the Children of the Underground, a Kultour touring event.
Zulya and the Children of the Underground creates melancholy, beauty and drama while weaving through a dazzling combination of musical styles. Originally from Tatarstan, Zulya is familiar to Australian audiences as a popular performer of traditional and original music derived from her Tatar and Russian cultural roots.
