The 2022 season will feature more than 110 performances including six MSO commissions, five world premieres and two Australian premieres. The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra will be joined by 20 international guest artists.
The season will also feature 8 female conductors/play-directors, 15 Australian composers and 6 First Nations artists.
The season will feature 'MSO at Hamer Hall: Thursday Evenings', eight concerts at 7:30pm; 'MSO at Hamer Hall: Friday Evenings', six concerts at 7:30pm; 'MSO at Hamer Hall: Saturday Evenings', six concerts at 7:30pm; 'MSO at Hamer Hall: Saturday Matinees', six concerts at 2pm; 'Quick Fix at Half Six', Monday evenings, 'MSO Mornings', three concerts at 11am; 'Melbourne Town Hall Series', four concerts at 7.30pm; 'Recital Centre Series', three concerts at 7.30pm; 'MSO Monash Series', four Fridays at 7.30pm; and 'MSO Geelong Series', four Fridays at 7.30pm.
