Following a sell out season at last year's Edinburgh Fringe and Melbourne Comedy Festival (which included a Barry nomination), Paul Foot debuts in Adelaide.
It's a spectacle that needs to be seen to be believed.
With his Carol Brady-esque (circa 1972) mullet, the voice of a Carry On actor and a fashion sense reminiscent of a rare exotic bird, Paul Foot pounces on the stage like a an enthusiastic marionette.
Foot's listing beckons, "Abandon all theories about the conventions of art before seeing this high priest of surrealism, Still Life does not in any way reflect Paul Foot's passion for the pallet or the timelessness of the renaissance era. It marks the arduous and ultimate pointless journey of life itself. Prepare to have your mind blown off at his "glimpses" and "disturbances" of comedy including a yarn about an accident-prone prostitute as well as surprise appearance from his alter ego Penny, a seriously deranged and sexually frustrated woman. Gasp as the spirit of the naughty horsey not only titivates but overpowers Mr Paul Foot, destroying him. Return home renewed. Adelaide, you have been warned."
