My Laughable Love Life: A one-man romantic comedy...with songs.

A hopeless Joe finds himself backstage at the Miss World pageant. What happens in the wings will forever change his romantic destiny. Watch him fight tooth and nail to land his dream girl:
a girl who just wants world peace and a pair of deep-cleansing exfoliating gloves. This is THE Fringe Festival show to bring a date to!

Comedian and singer-songwriter John Nelder's musically inspired comedy My Laughable Love Life -on at The Butterfly Club from 16-20 September - treads a path that lies somewhere between Peter Sellers and Flight of the Conchords.

My Laughable Love Life is directed by Eddy Segal, a VCA graduate director (2011). Eddy recently directed two critically acclaimed productions at Theatre Works - reasons to be pretty and Bent. His previous productions include the 20th anniversary production of Europe, which was given 'Show of the Week' by The Age and hailed as one of the year's "Theatrical triumphs".

John's debut show, Honeymoon in Harlem at The Butterfly Club, received rave reviews with The Age declaring, "there is no doubting the talent." His debut album, She's Relatively Sexy, was described as "cute and classy pop" by Triple J's Zan Rowe and "Go and find it, it's awesome" by Beat Magazine, receiving an honourable mention among Beat's 'albums of the year'. John is a former winner of the Melbourne University Comedy Competition, a contest that launched the careers of such luminaries as Hamish Blake.

My Laughable Love Life will play the Melbourne Fringe Festival from 16-20 September 2015 at 8:30pm. For tickets visit thebutterflyclub.com or call (03) 9663 8107.
