Opening night at The Union Club @ Richmond Bowls features a double header with popular Melbourne artists Mick Pealing Band and Mid Life Crisis (MLC).
Leading local bands, tribute shows and popular Australian artists will perform every second Saturday following The Union Club's opening at Richmond Union Bowling Club in Melbourne's inner east.
Particularly appealing to the dancing feet of the over 40s, The Union Club taps into live music from the '60s to the '90s at a fun new live music venue that has meals, drinks at great prices, parking and easy access by public transport.
On opening night at The Union Club, the Mick Pealing Band plays music from Mick's past with rock band Stars and his two solo albums, Precarious and Grand Hotel.
Fellow opening night act Mid Life Crisis combines Aussie pub rock with classic '60s songs in an energetic blitz with music ranging from AC/DC, Jimmy Barnes and Dragon to The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and The Kinks.
Upcoming gigs at The Union Club include Skyhooks' guitarist Bob "Bongo" Starkie's Rock'n'Roll Band, The Recliners (formed from Daryl Braithwaite's backing band) and The Jetsons, a rocking five-piece Melbourne cover band fronted by Donna McConville.
On May 27 at The Union Club, singer Mae Parker joins fellow Majestic Divas Wendy Stapleton and Nikki Nicholls and The Killer B's in a show she said "spans decades of our favourite tunes, fun and stories".
"It is a combined 100 years of experience jammed into one night," Parker said. "Book now or kick yourself later!"
