What I bring you now is no mere Freak Show. You will gasp, yes, and you will marvel and you will see your share of grotesquerie. But the deformities on show this evening are not the deformities of the frame, but those of the heart and mind - Edward Gant
La Boite and Sydney Theatre Company's much anticipated co-production Edward Gant's Amazing Feats of Loneliness is theatre at its most exhilarating: a celebration of magic and mayhem.
Director Sarah Goodes' sparkling production uses extravagant costumes to create Gant's wondrous worlds, co-designed by Renée Mulder and the Australian fashion house Romance Was Born. Think a mix of circus, glam rock, national costume, vaudeville, music hall, punk and high fashion.
Incredibly funny, deeply irreverent and strangely moving, Edward Gant is set to run riot.
