It is with great pleasure that the Perth Theatre Trust and Perth Concert Hall welcome back one of the world's most exciting young talents of the classical music world, Russian born pianist Konstantin Shamray, for one concert only, performing the works of Liszt and Chopin on Tuesday, 25 May 2010.

Perth audiences were enthralled by Shamray's amazing talents back in 2008 when he performed fresh from his win at the 9th Sydney International Piano Competition of Australia (SIPCA). A graduate from the prestigious Gnesin Academy of Music in Moscow, Shamray became the only pianist in the history of the competition to win both the First Prize and People's Choice award.

Shamray has enjoyed critical acclaim performing in solo recitals in many concert halls throughout Russia, Italy, Spain, Germany, Holland, Austria, Czech Republic, Serbia, USA and with international orchestras including the Prague and Moscow Philharmonic Orchestras.

"With Konstantin Shamray, we were introduced to a pianist of an exceptional class - superb quality throughout, and technically and stylistically brilliant," said Hans Lehmann, Thuringer Landeszeitung, 2009.

Tickets to the Perth Concert Hall performance are available from all BOCS Ticketing outlets.
