Katie is obsessed with the 80s. She grew up belting out power ballads about complicated relationships, and soon discovered she started to live them. Join her in Katie's 80s as she shares her story, and tells you how to navigate the battlefield of love through songs from her favourite 80s icons, from Tina Turner to Kate Bush. Written and performed by Katie Visser, with musical direction by Nicholas Gray.
Katie Visser is a performer and singer-songwriter based in Melbourne. Since releasing her first single 'Dangerous' in 2013, she has performed at Chapel off Chapel's Cabaret Showcases, founded the rock trio Peripheral Figures, and was the Bronze Finalist in the Global Music Awards in June 2017 for her song 'Radio Radio' (available on iTunes). After her well-received one-night-only debut of Katie's 80s at the Butterfly Club in April 2017, Katie is bringing the show to the larger venue of Gasworks Theatre for a threenight run, from 14th-16th September.
