King Kong will stage its 100th public performance on August 28th in Melbourne, Australia. New tickets have been released up to November 10, 2013, with further extensions possible.

To celebrate, a free public exhibition of Tony-Award winning designer Roger Kirk's work for King Kong opens this Friday, August 30th, at Melbourne Central as part of Melbourne Spring Fashion Week. The Costumes of King Kong is open to the public through Sunday, September 15th, 2013.

Most recently awarded 'Best Costume Design' at the Helpmann Awards, Kirk's exhibition incorporates sketches, the development process and final costume photographs from the musical spectacular offering viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the elaborate work of costume design. King Kong was also awarded Best Lighting, Best Sound, Best Scenic Design and Outstanding Theatrical Achievement at the 2013 Helpmann Awards.

King Kong is exclusive to Melbourne and is produced by Australian creative powerhouse Global Creatures.
