Promoter Mario Maiolo has extended the September run into October of IN THE MOOD, taking the production to regional areas in New Zealand and Australia, on a thirty plus concert itinerary. This is the first tour Down Under of the sensational all-American celebration of 1940's Swing, which is in its 18th season of sold out performances in America, Canada and Europe.

With an authentic score of over fifty 1940's hits from Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey, Duke Ellington, Frank Sinatra and The Andrews Sisters, audiences of all ages are in for a swell time with Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy (of Company B), Chattanooga Choo Choo, Tuxedo Junction, In The Mood, Sing, Sing, Sing and much more, belted out from the original arrangements live.

The dance card for the sizzling IN THE MOOD Singers and Swing Dancers from New York and blistering String of Pearls Big Band Orchestra now includes Auckland and Hamilton NZ before Melbourne, Hobart, Launceston, Brisbane, Mandurah, Perth, Adelaide, Sydney, Wollongong, Nowra, Canberra, Caloundra and Gold Coast.

Mario Maiolo said, "The support for this production is affirmation that the integrity of the music and appreciation of Big Bands and dance from the era is timeless.  Generations remain in tune with Swing and are out on the dance floors every week Jiving and Jitterbugging.  The IN THE MOOD experience brings those sentimental ballads, up-tempo rhythms, acrobatic moves and a 13 piece big band to the stage, in a high energy show that international audiences have embraced wholeheartedly."

IN THE MOOD is an official entertainment for World War II commemorations, was the US National Touring Event for the year long Spirit of 45 initiative marking the 65th anniversary of the end of WWII and has performed at an inauguration for President Bill Clinton.
