Heather Bloom is facing the impending doom of turning 30. Best described as Saturn Return meets First World Problems, the Melbourne performer presents her tongue-in-cheek cabaret debut: Stage 30.
Stage 30 is a one-woman comedy cabaret set on the night of Heather's 30th birthday. Between beauty treatments, exercise regimes and endless trips to the elusive fountain of youth, Heather is forced to confront the five stages of turning 30: Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression and (hopefully) Acceptance.
From toy boys to attempts at finding a "sugar daddy", Heather will sing you through her arduous journey and the extreme lengths she's prepared to go to get there. But will she come out the other side of 30 in one piece? Will she finally change her age from 26 on her Tinder account? And will she accept the inevitable conclusion that life doesn't end at 30?
Stage 30 is an absurdly comical show for anyone who's ever wondered who they will be when they grow up and how will they know when that moment will finally arrives. Heather Bloom delivers a well crafted, hilarious, and honest cabaret about the highs and lows of becoming a tricenarian (yes, that is an actual term). The production opens on the 7th of October and runs for 5 nights, bookings recommended.
