After a stunning sold out World Premiere Season in 2012 and before heading to Broadway, Arts International Events proudly presents the return of GENESIS TO BROADWAY at Chapel off Chapel, Prahran for a limited season only from the 11th - 20th June.

GENESIS TO BROADWAY is a highly entertaining musical journey which salutes the evolution of the popular song as we know it today. From the Middle East to Spain and onto Manhattan GENESIS TO BROADWAY is a celebration of music and story. Dynamic African and flamenco rhythms and melodies mingled with virtuosic playing, mirth and theatrical scenes. From early songs of worship to opera to Rodgers and Hammerstein, Gershwin, Lloyd Webber and beyond, GENESIS TO BROADWAY is an insightful, funny, uplifting musical gift that includes some of the greatest popular songs ever written.

Returning to GENESIS TO BROADWAY is international and award-winning pianist/composer Warren Wills (Royal Shakespeare Co., Woody Allen) and 2012 Green Room Award nominee for Best Actress In A Leading Role for the 2012 season of Genesis to Broadway, Fem Belling (Hairspray, The Boy From Oz, Cats), who will be joined by new cast member - the sensational Tod Strike (South Pacific. Cats, Ten Tenors).

GENESIS TO BROADWAY is written and directed by Frank Howson (creator of Rhonda Burchmore's recent hit "Cry me A River" and director of acclaimed Australian Production of Caryl Churchill's "A Number") and produced by Aaron Zaitman.

Says Director Frank Howson," All involved with the show are overjoyed at the reaction Melbourne audiences gave this show late last year. Every performance received a standing ovation. So here we are, coming back with an even better version of the show. We have honed it, added some new songs, deleted a few things, and included some more tributes and stories about the great songwriters. This is one show that gives the audience more bang for their buck. Be prepared to be entertained with some of the best showstoppers of all time. It is also the last chance to see this Australian-born production before it heads to Broadway for a season early next year. "
