Somewhere between cabaret and comedy, in the land of ridiculous facial expressions and unfortunate stories, lies Lucy. On a couch. Smothered in chocolate.
After a sell-out season at the Adelaide Fringe in February 2016, Lucy brings her new cabaret to her local 'hood, Melbourne. Hilarious stories about growing up with a 'Jim Carrey-ish face' (as described to her by an unhelpful stranger) mixed with the funniest songs of music theatre. Accompanied by the over-talented yet under-appreciated Stacey-Louise Camilleri, Lucy brings the laughs, the over-sharing and the twerking to The Butterfly Club for five shows, July 13-17.
Lucy has previously won awards in the Short + Sweet Festivals in Melbourne (Most Inventive Concept, Cabaret State Finalist) and Sydney (Best Actress, Festival Director's Choice), and had several sell-out seasons in Adelaide and Barossa Valley with her past shows, Decadent, Dorothy Parker's Sweet Release of Death, and Tell Me About Yourself. She is also a staff writer for women's online network Mamamia, regularly writing 'viral' articles about important topics like womb steam-cleaning and love letters to Prince Harry.
With limited tickets on sale, bookings are highly recommended.
