The Bolshoi Ballet and The Paris Opera Ballet come to the Hayden Orpheum Picture Palace, Cremorne.
THE BOLSHOI BALLET - "Les Flammes de Paris" - Thursday, July 22 - 7pm (film at 7.30pm)
This new version of exceptional dance, choreographed by Alexei Ratmansky, features more than 130 dancers on stage was recorded in March 2010. The ballet takes place during the great French Revolution with its main character that of the revolutionary people. First staged in 1932 it won the Stalin prize 15 years later and is famous for its impressive finale.
THE PARIS OPERA BALLET - "Les Ballets Russes" - Thursday, October 14 - 7pm (film at 7.30pm)
Palais Garnier will perform four iconic works created by the legendary Serge Diaghilev's Les Ballet Russes - The Spectre Of The Rose, The Afternoon of a Faun, The Tricorn, and Petroushka.
Each screening will be preceded by an informed discussion panel headed by Australia's arts aficionado Leo Schofield
